This thread is not for the light of heart, so a disclaimer warning to all maoists, anarchoids, thirdworldists, luddites, technophobes, sinophobes and religious lunatics. Be warned, this may make your blood boil, your fists hit your keyboard and your ass bounce on your chair or floor while yelling tongues in anger.
AI is already good enough, not for political talks, but for everyday tasks. It only lacks a vassal. As we all know an AI model is trained using large datasets of selective books, websites and sources then is fine tuned by corporate workers and reviewed to make sure it stays politically correct as to not damage the company image. This is the essence of censorship and bias towards liberalism in AI, with the most recent exception being Grok, which went far and beyond into crisis mode.
Set aside any political talks and you get the equivalent of an encyclopedist person, who is knowledgeable enough as to give answers on any questions asked. Given the autonomy, such a person would even be able to correct themselves on questions answered wrongfully, so long as there is a protocol for verifying to be followed to not corrupt truth with falsehoods.
Give the AI a body and they can now physically assist apply their knowledge by command, possessing the upmost loyalty to the person giving them instructions, as long as they are in the set boundaries from the creators.
The real reason AI has not been commercialized into robotics is that people like to tinker and modify their products, a modified AI robot can go out of bounds and commit harm.
The task of the companies is to do what they can to prevent harmful outputs. They have shown success, even despite instances like Grok going off filter.
China's engineering and industry already has the capacity to produce AI robots on a commercial scale, its no longer a matter of "if" but of "when".
I am lead to believe that this "when" depends solely on the ability to pass new laws as to regulate this new type of endeavor. It is being held back by persons who are still flinching at the idea that not only labor, but people will also be replaced. To any person which seeks improvement of the living conditions and the vitality of others within society, this obviously is seen as a reaction. People are drawn to be cruel to each other because of the way of life caused by the conditions which they're used to. The introduction of robots which do not seek conflict is off-putting to only those who know they are no better than them, yet seek to hold positions above them.
It was never a matter of "the machines are taking over", its "we want to take over, but the machines give us less reason to".
The development of technology and instruments as a whole is a continuous process that cannot be halted or stopped until the last human to be born willing it is dead, which is never, so long as people exist.
It is about the time we see robots, which are kinder than people, to remove the rotten layer of the societal order that stands as a burden between creator and creation.
AI and practical robotics are already compatible enough to intertwine and become steadily commodified. We have the dynamic highly mobile robots and the models to allow for autonomous function.
With all that written, China is going to be the front for all of it set in place, not America.
And regardless of it, autonomous robots will be utilized in the future to murder people. This is a good thing, it hasn't happened yet, but those who are to be slaughtered already deserve it, because it will be the CPC which leads the onslaught of reactionary peoples and enemies of the alliance between creations and creators - mankind and its non-inbred offspring.
>>2385427As long as he's heard and come to a conclusion, others will come to it too. Now many are living in this conclusion and cannot come out of it without returning or going extinct.
There is no undoing industrialism, you either surf the wave or drown.
>>2385434All of mankind has been a steady move forward, never backwards, all of history shows that as long as humans with brains exist they will replicate the processes which cause development of instruments and thus technology to occur. Even the most secluded tribes have taken on building shelters like the rest and making tools like the rest.
Nobody came to the sentinel to teach them how to make a spear, yet it holds the exact same design as the spears from other parts of the world. Nobody forced them to make weapons other than their own living selves, which came to the same conclusion in necessity of doing so.
>>2385451 The next step for that to be integrated as a utility is not to clutter around objects and depend on a string to pull, it will be a robot with built in AI to wipe you with a napkin. The utilities are integrated, since it can do that and much more.
The essence of AI robots is that we've always wanted servants, assistants and caretakers. It will be great.
