Not reporting is bourgeois

Is there a room for Casinos in a socialist society? My recent trip to one of them sparked the question for me. Over here in my province, Casinos, lottery and gambling is a state monopoly. Considering the alternative that, without state control on gambling, it's existence would solely profit to bourgeois enterprises and criminal endeavors.

Under communism all neighborhoods will have a nearby casino and all profits will be utilized for cancer research.

No. Gambling is bourgeois. Games are bourgeois. Gamblers and gaymers will be shot after the revolution.

under socialism casinos will be museums of historical capitalist decadence. in the museum you will be able to play the games, but it won't be for real money. however you will get assigned fake money in order to show you the horrors of gambling addiction. Also there will be back rooms to simulate mobsters torturing cheaters, real or imagined.

Yes everyone will gamble their labor vouchers at the people's casino. Middle class reformists hate people having fun.

bro how tf are you gonna gamble labor vouchers, they aren't transferable lmao

>>2405662
sure, the house simply dont take anything and put back all earnings, and add in some limits to prevent addiction and its all fine. Even tribal society without money gambled.

Yes, this is footage from the people's casino in united AEStates of scientific atheismerica in 2050. The reformed man of the future is now free to gamble in the morning, do football bets during the day, and play slots in the evening.

<go to people's casino museum
<lose my fake mortage at the blackjack table
<taken to the backroom
<same cadre that was setting up chairs at last weeks block party starts whacking my knees with a pool noodle
can't believe the capitalists actually used to live like this smh

Dunno about casino buildings but there there will be gambling. Variable prices are gambling. Insurance schemes are gambling. No regulation can completely stop people who possess some items to use these as stakes in gambling.

this website is a prison.

The Peoples Indigenous Casino of Prosperity TM

Casinos are a good way for the socialist state to proletarianize capitalists.

Answering seriously to a joke like an autist: No, we will have to instantly cancel the wealth of the ruling class by currency reform during the revolution: People will either all get the same initial amount of old money or exchange their old money against new with a strict upper limit per head or a mix of these two approaches. This isn't even labor vouchers yet because the initial price ratios of the goods will be the same as before, but it can be reformed into labor vouchers with less shocking changes as this first big step.

muh labor vouchers though

>>2405665
Moral education casinos haven't been tried.

>>2405662
If the house had an equal chance of winning against the players, then maybe. However, if people's material needs are met, then why would they go to a casino in the first place? You can always go to Dave’s and busters to satisfy your game-of-chance itch. Gambling addiction is one of the many symptoms of alienation

Gonna cash my share of erythrocites

casinos are already socialist, theyre owned by indians

>>2407600
Not joking. We need to industrialize/proletarianize the petty-bourgeoisie. I want the rich homeowners to gamble away their homes and evict them. I'm not against it but direct expropriation alone doesn't industrialize in the right way needed to keep a new layer of petty-bourgeoisie from forming. You need strategic proletarianizing and industrialization to develop the productive forces and centralize capital under the workers.

Gambling makes perfect sense in a society where luxury rations (distributed equally) and necessary rations (distributed by need) are non interchangable

>>2409388
under communism non-necessary production is ended so that the productive forces can be totally dedicated to producing necessities as cheaply as imaginable to keep their cost as close to zero as possible so that each person is required to do as little work as possible to keep society running
