Machiavelli in The Prince advises that a wise leader will send out a brute to do his dirty work for him in a far away province, and once the brute is done doing the dirty work The Prince ought to come in with his forces an execute the brute he himself put in charge for his brutality, in order to "free the people" from the problem he created in the first place, bask in the heroic glory, but at the same time achieving the political suppression he sought. This is the process which the United States has done with its client regimes over and over, whether it was the Nazis (assisted by Ford and IBM somewhat covertly) or the Israelis (assisted by the entire government openly)

On the contrary it was Stalin who spent the entire 1930s pushing for an anti-fascist alliance in Europe, and was rejected by England, France, and Poland. Meanwhile US capitalists traded with and empowered the nazis. Nazis were even invited to Madison Square Garden to hold a rally which you can see footage of.

The USSR was the last not the first country to sign a non-aggression pact with Hitler, and it did so only after attempts to make an anti-fascist alliance failed and they only did so because they needed to buy time to move their factories East and extend their western front into Poland and Finland so that the nazis would have to push through more militarized battlespace to get to Moscow.

Basically wanted to say the same thing before seeing this post.
This thread('s premise) is one of maybe a handful (at absolute most) of interesting threads currently active (which is to say on the catalog), if that.

Really, you have to ask if your special interest (AES but Anti-AES in this case) is hurting you more than whatever it is you are trying to achieve. As someone on the other side (pro AES, broadly) this is more absurd than anything.
