Does this even seem effective at accomplishing anything, I can't stand this shit. These are retards marching into their own demise. No, tard-rushing toward it. I can't stand these zoomer tradcath idiots.
>>2430586>>2430603That's Mihoyo, they do that as an search engine optimization thing because people don't know how to complain, without boosting the thing they're comlaining about.
The rest of the anime industry has in fact learned the art of melanin for years now that coloring is done digitally and fancy rendering techniques are eye catching. Still a lot of pale characters out there, but you see melanin slowly becoming more frequent. Even in gachas, where I assume each character has to get rebber stamped, so Mihoyo is unique is continuing to have this issue.
>>2430631This. The whole "you just wannabe white" argument from liberals is retarded. Brown tradcaths end up becoming tradcaths simply because catholicism is what they grew up with. So they end up doing all of that cringe "Viva Cristo Rey" bullshit.
Sometimes they do come in conflict with actual white supremacists which is funny as fuck to see it unfold on xitter
>>2430665>Tradcaths seem to be disproportionately converts though, and they have convert zealI agree that many tradcaths especially converts show a kind of “convert zeal.” When it comes to Hispanic Catholics, a lot of them already have a deeply ingrained cultural Catholicism that doesn’t always strictly match official Church doctrine. You see it in things like local saints, folk devotions, and added traditions that develop alongside the formal faith.
When some encounter the tradcath aesthetic via memes, imagery, or rhetoric they often blend it with what they already grew up with (candles, rosaries, the Virgen de Guadalupe, church rituals) without necessarily interrogating the deeper theological or historical claims behind it.
>>2430631>Tradcaths aren't self hating, I mean it's heavily intertwined with far right politics which happens to include racism but it's not necessarily so.>>2430647>generally when tradition becomes about it being a tradition and not the personal enjoyment of those who engage with it, there's reactionism afoot. What I tend to see is a lot of humiliating stuff that people do to themselves. There's all this bowing and kissing the feet of icons. I don't have a theory of this, but I see reactionism afoot because it's all about submission. "I'm just a little bug, I'm not worthy." But they enjoy it and it feels comfy, and they feel like they need it, and they're not getting it in a hyper-atomized consumer society (which is becoming harder and harder to access because things are becoming more expensive). Also moral exhaustion: "I don't want to think for myself."
>>2430665>Tradcaths seem to be disproportionately converts though, and they have convert zeal.Yeah. They are ideologically compensating by being "more Catholic than Catholic."
