Now, people defending capital try to deny their intention by calling shit neo-colonialism (it's just imperialism stripped of Marxist theory), to justify support of bourgeois-on-bourgeois conflicts, where the proletariat take all the casualties. Their focus on "uplifting" the poor and exploited with economic (liberal) development (dengoids and Africa) is not only impossible, due to the need for the haute bourgeois to protect international profits with cheap labor, but also in defense of utopian, liberal idealism by affirming the theory that if liberalism is hard enough, world happiness will be achieved (but then there's a socialist revolution for no reason, woohoo).

If AES states have to defend themselves from counter revolutionaries, then they are stuck in an arms race with counter revolutionaries. Just because they have enough productive forces to sustain themselves doesn't matter when they live in a world still dominated by capitalism.
