What do you think about gun control?

Although nobody here likes the constitution I see many pro-Guns people here who argue against gun control.

Here is my take on gun control, The founding fathers put the 2nd amendment in the constitution so a revolution could happen if the government ever gets corrupted (Also so white mobs could drive Natives off of there land but my point still stands) and I see many people here think that thats a good idea despite disliking the constitution. I however don’t think that that is working. America is currently becoming a fascist dictatorship and nobody is trying to use their guns to overthrow Trump, because most people who have them like Trump and would rather use their guns to shoot Bud Light Cans, nine year old elementary school students, black church goers, Their wives, Latino mall shoppers, or themselves.

Yeah, supporting regulation of gun owner ship doesn't mean people can't have guns, also doesn't mean 1984 tyrannical dictatorship. And of course there are numerous historical examples of revolutions occurring where gun ownership was not prevalent or banned, and Americans are rather ironically revolution-avoidant despite that being the go-to argument against gun control in the states.

Repeal the NFA

Well this is an irrelevancy today, because the army's repertoire of weaponry goes far beyond legal small arms and tactics have progressed beyond the two sides agreeing to show up in a field to line up and shoot at each other with the side with more men winning by default (idealistically presumed to be the citizenry rising up against tyranny), so any kind of successful revolution would still depend on the army joining the side of the revolutionaries.

From that perspective, there already is gun control in that you couldn't possibly buy anything that would give revolutionaries a fighting chance legally. So, I get the angle of the Socialist Rifle Association, but I also think already owning your own semi-auto AK constructed of various communist vintage, local reproduction and modern imported parts before revolution comes really makes little difference, you're still going to be dependent on at least some part of the military being sympathetic and bringing the big weapons and the expertise to use them.
