What are the most controversial subjects among socialists still discussed today? And why does the answer to those subjects matter? Is there a way to resolve those discussions?

Religion

Historical progress or linear time

The gender question (specifically trans people)

What to do about Israelis and Zionists, or the question of Jews in general

Disability and neurodivergence

Preservation of marginalized identities vs their sublation into the universal

bcuz its only logical that people to whom communism is just a hobby have so much free time to be endlessly yapping about bullshit thats only a concern to petit bourgeois scholastic morons. i mean look at the fucking examples in >>2464015 >>2464021

>Is there a way to resolve those discussions?

almost everything listed has simply nothing to do with communism/class whatsoever. hot topics like trans people shouldnt even be an issue. if youre trans and proletarian then thats it, no more time should be wasted discussing it. religion was already considered a done and ready topic in the fucking 19th century too

How the fuck are religion and historical progress controversial when communism is explicitly anti-religion and also explicitly a modernist (i.e. progressive) ideology?

>communism is explicitly anti-religion

>>2464038
communism is post-theist because a-theism/anti-religion belongs strictly to bourgeois intellectuals from the illustration. like i said, its already assumed religion is a thing from the past and no further energy should be wasted on it

>also explicitly a modernist (i.e. progressive) ideology

communism is not an ideology retard. the progressiveness comes from removing the fetters capital has on a world with already fully socialized means of production, not from some bullshit about le social values

Serious answer: The transformation problem.
Non-serious answer: how a nation-state with 90% of its population being petty-bourgeois homeowners can be a more proletarian country than America.

>>2464015
Gender is mostly just housing. Nobody should own a home. Landowners and homeowners are parasites who hinder the industrialization of domestic labor and emancipation from the bourgeois family.

>>2463930
The most consistently controversial subject among socialists is how to gain and maintain power.

It's not a philosophy, it's an ideology!

It's not an ideology, it's a framework for action!

It's not a framework for action, it's the real movement!

It's not a the real movement! it's a rare species of North American pheasant!

Interesting how all these issues are culture war bullshit.

>It's not a philosophy, it's an ideology!
philosophy is ideology so anyone saying this is automatically retarded

>It's not an ideology, it's a framework for action!

this in practice is also the same thing loll

>It's not a framework for action, it's the real movement!

idk why midwits get so mad when someone correctly points out its a practical and classist movement. maybe because it means their endless online debates are utterly worthless

>Is revolution possible in the imperial core?
I used to think yes, but the more I see of US """communist""" parties, from the PSL to the ACP, the more I think otherwise. The ACP has openly admitted that Americans don't have blue collar skills because they've all been outsourced to the Third World.

Not beating the booklet allegations.

The majority of the united states is internally colonized.

Funny how the botom guy then agrees with one of the three to cope
