What does leftypol think of Crimethinc?

For context Crimethinc is a decentralized anarchist collective that has been popular since the 90’s. Also no they aren’t a honeypot, albeit the feds have arrested members of the organization so be careful if your at irl meetings.
My personal connection to them is that they are the entire reason I became an anarchist, and have influenced many of my beliefs, and have made me find actual methods of combating capitalism and state oppression individually. And I don’t mean like “individual anarchists” or some punk pretend shit, I mean on actual direct action and organization.
My favourite books from them is Days of War, Nights of love. That book is life-stylist but it’s still a very good read.

But anyways I’m curious what you guys think because I have been a pretty big fan of them for years

Edgy lifestyle bullshit. Gen Xers loved it though.

I think it's alright, but given that it's not Marxist Leninist you're going to invariably get people here calling it fascist or some equally silly "critique". They have some good practical advice for demonstrations and protests so it's pretty useful if you're regularly on the ground

It's fine but ows really showed the extent it was capable of.

Good resource for some things, but other times they unironically write about how to do magical rituals and other delusional nonsense.

>beliefs
>methods of combating capitalism and state oppression individually
fucking lol

Their later writing is a solid populist intro to anarchist theory. “Work” is honestly one of the best for-normies intros to anti-capitalism I’ve ever read. How you feel about their proposed solutions is a different matter

Honestly, their biggest draw is that they actually know how to boil complicated ideas down in a way that’s readable to an average person who doesn’t have a master’s in philosophy. Marxists could seriously learn from how good they are at communicating a lot of dense ideas in simple language

Useless posers

Houdinist garbage

I find the manifesto very easy to understand.

who cares they haven't been relevant in their own circles for 20 years.
