There’s become an intermingling of the political and the psychological, and in certain left wing circles the notion of radical politics is framed in ways that suggest radical therapy in a way, I’ve heard plenty of things justified not in the sense that it’ll lead to political gains or power but phrased like it’d help society as a whole overcome some personality defect.
