>>2483035>My strategy is not overestimating the enemy to the point of abandoning your position for no good reason and also understanding that there is no room for retreat.I just don't see the strategic logic in refusing to move to somewhere more politically viable just because you're too prideful to retreat. There were two kinds of Jews in Nazi Germany: Those who left when they saw the writing on the wall, and those who died in the gas chambers or work camps.
I imagine you probably think it's preferable to die in your home than to relocate and abandon your friends, but historically that has literally never worked for rooting out fascism. Fascists thrive through dividing and conquering small collectives of leftists that all have the same mentality of trying to keep their heads down and hoping it'll blow over. You and 5 friends aren't going to overthrow the Neo-Confederacy. Why not try making friends on the outside and building a larger army that can?

I mean put yourself in the position of a Gazan. 99% of Gazans are desperate to leave their situation but are being blockaded in by Israel to complete the genocide. Their only means of help comes from those outside Gaza continuing to spread the message and advocate for the people trapped inside.
Meanwhile here you are telling people to stay in their homes and wait for the fascist blockade because "we'll fight to the death" while not considering that the enemy will gladly starve you out. There won't be a fight, just a massacre. There's nothing heroic about refusing to retreat. This isn't a movie dude. >with no outside help.Helps not coming period.
>>2483154>I'm saying this specifically for anons in amerca who aren't in major cities. of course we need the citiesI'm trying to explain to you that you'll get more value out of your leftist vanguard by uniting them in California or Oregon or something than having them stay in small towns where they can be easily cut off and decapitated.
I know it sounds bourgeois to tell people to "just move lol" but we absolutely need to start planning for how we're gonna get all these people out of places where they're in danger and move them to places that are more defensible. Small right-wing towns where every MAGA is happy to report you for displaying a pride flag aren't going to have any revolutionary potential. We need to consider the limited resources we have available and concentrate them where people's lives won't be wasted.
I'm seriously concerned that this mentality of "stay where you are" is the primary reason the American left is so divided. Everyone wants to build Communism in their tiny suburban town, but you aren't gonna spontaneously get a million independent revolutions happening all over America. What you're gonna see is all the smaller areas getting picked off one by one as more and more leftists are dragged away to an ICE concentration camp. Eventually an army of resistance might form, but it'll be late into the game after many of those places are already locked down. I'd rather be in a position of being able to send support to those trapped in the MAGA reich than be the one trapped inside. We'll need all the manpower we can get, and your manpower has more value in California or Michigan than it does in Mississippi, even if you loathe those places. You're less likely to be kidnapped by the MAGA gestapo or lynched by the brown shirts, and more likely to connect with a larger network as people are less afraid to be openly Marxist in blue states.
>>2483200Aren't you forgetting Trump hates the "glowies" that work in those federal industries? And they hate him in turn. He'd be happy to just purge every trademark attorney or curator for the Smithsonian if he got the chance, and they'd all be happy to see him hang from a post. The issue is that the vast majority of people have yet to break free of "end of history" ideology, they still believe in the democratic process, they still think we can VOOOOOT our way out of this. Also there's been plenty of action taken against the National Guard, it's just not reported on.
That said I have my doubts on whether or not revolutionaries would be able to hold DC for very long. Just a couple hundred miles south is Hampton Roads with a huuuuuuge concentration of military personnel

>>2483367nta but why do we treat Jews like an actual ethnic group and not a religion? All historical and genealogical evidence points to Jews as largely indistinguishable from the local populations they live around(ashkenazis being european, mizrahis being arab, etc).
If we eliminate the idea of Jews as an ethnoreligious group and just a religion, then saying "Jews support Israel" shouldn't be any more offensive than saying "Evangelicals are a death cult for Israel" or "Mormons support polygamy" or "Catholics are hiding pedophiles among their ranks", in which case I don't really see the issue with criticizing those particular beliefs of their religion to externally force/pressure a change. Like how the Catholic Church is slowly softening its views on homosexuality due to public pressure. What's wrong with holding Jews accountable for using their religion to enable a genocide and demanding they separate themselves from Israel?
I don't really see any religion as sacred or immune to criticism; as a former Muslim I think it's valuable to criticize religions as they really are flexible to cultural demands regardless of how they paint themselves as immovable faith-based organizations. I've met a lot of Muslims that hang out with LGBT people with no problem. Hell, Zohran is one. Why can't we criticize Jews for failing to take an anti-genocide stance?
Fuck me that's worse than i thought it'd be.
>>2483425> Judaism as an ethnicityHow are we still doing this? you fuggin retard, you.
>>2483432Yes but no. This is getting into the dreaded "attack helicopter" meme but you can't just identify as Native American for example, you need some genetic or familial connection. In fact, Israel itself has strict requirements for proving you're a "Jew" to qualify for Birthright and Israeli citizenship. There was that whole thing over a decade ago of Israel discriminating against Ethiopian Jews.
I mean I guess if you wanna argue, anyone can indeed claim to be a Jew, but actual Jews would probably get upset by that assertion. If we're allowing Jews to decide their own membership and disqualify people from claiming Jewness then we should be able to hold them to some degree of accountability for supporting genocide. Especially given that historical Israeli Jews going back thousands of years have very little genetic separation from Palestinians. They're literally genociding their own genetic siblings. How is that not worth shaming, if someone truly does take any kind of pride in their Jewish heritage?

>>2483436you're mixing a variety of terms. either willingly or out of ignorance. if the latter than that is the great victory of the predominant culture imposed by the hegemonic global powers.
yes. the israeli state does discriminate against ethiopian jews and many jews refuse to accept them as real jews. nevertheless those ethiopians self identify as jews, and that is all it took. they are jews. in every conversation on the topic outsiders when talking about the group 'jews' mention ashknazi, misrahi, sephardics and ethiopians. all jews.
nationality is not ethnicity. and yes, israelis do deserve shame and much more for the genocide they are committing.

The American workingman has suffered so much at the hands of the soldier, State and Federal, that he is quite justified in his disgust with, and his opposition to, the uniformed parasite. However, mere denunciation will not solve this great problem. What we need is a propaganda of education for the soldier: anti-patriotic literature that will enlighten him as to the real horrors of his trade, and that will awaken his consciousness to his true relation to the man to whose labor he owes his very existence. It is precisely this that the authorities fear most. It is already high treason for a soldier to attend a radical meeting. No doubt they will also stamp it high treason for a soldier to read a radical pamphlet. But, then, has not authority from time immemorial stamped every step of progress as treasonable? Those, however, who earnestly strive for social reconstruction can well afford to face all that; for it is probably even more important to carry the truth into the barracks than into the factory.

Consequently, there was a lot of confusion, as people attempted to understand what was happening.>At the time, it was not possible to form a unified vision of the situation. The presence of the far-right in the streets discouraged many anarchists from supporting the protests, as they did not want to stand beside Nazis on the same side of the barricades. This brought a lot of controversy into the movement; some people accused those who did decide to join the protests of fascism.>The anarchists who participated in the protests were dissatisfied with the brutality of the police and with Yanukovych himself and his pro-Russian position. However, they could not have a significant impact on the protests, as they were essentially in the category of outsiders.individuals doing decentralized politics to smash the Stalinist authoritarian state to do deregulation for international free markets isn't REAL ANARCHISM lmao

>>2483832https://www.ynetnews.com/article/rjajfgk9ke>Six senior staffers have resigned from the office of Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., in recent months, citing frustration over his unwavering support for Israel following the Hamas Oct. 7 terror attack. The departures, which include top communications officials, have fueled speculation about internal dissatisfaction with the senator’s shifting political priorities.
<Sources familiar with the matter say the resignations stem from concerns that Fetterman’s focus on Israel has overshadowed the progressive platform on which he campaigned. A former staffer, speaking on condition of anonymity, described the work environment as being "almost entirely consumed by Israel-related matters."Lmao
>While Fetterman’s stance has drawn praise from conservatives, particularly for his position on Israel, it has also deepened rifts within the Democratic Party. His former chief of staff, Adam Jentleson, resigned amid these growing tensions, further underscoring the internal discord. >>2483839Could he at least get a better hoodie?

https://www.the-independent.com/news/world/americas/us-politics/john-fetterman-mental-health-wife-gaza-b2744021.htmlFetterman clashed with his wife over Israel support and aides questioned his mental health, bombshell report says
<‘They are bombing refugee camps. How can you support this?’ Gisele Barreto Fetterman reportedly told her husband in the early weeks of the Gaza war
>A year after Fetterman was released from his six-week stay at Walter Reed, which itself took place months after he was hospitalized for a stroke, Jentleson sent a 1,600-word email to the physician who had overseen Fetterman’s inpatient care for depression. According to the letter, which contained the subject line “concerns,” Jentleson wanted to sound the alarm to the doctor about the senator’s behavior.
>“We often see the kind of warning signs we discussed,” Jentleson noted in the May 2024 email. “Conspiratorial thinking; megalomania (for example, he claims to be the most knowledgeable source on Israel and Gaza around but his sources are just what he reads in the news — he declines most briefings and never reads memos); high highs and low lows; long, rambling, repetitive and self centered monologues; lying in ways that are painfully, awkwardly obvious to everyone in the room.”
<The deep dive into his “struggles” also revealed that his fervent support for Israel amid the Gaza war – which included him allegedly saying “kill them all” in meeting with progressive Jewish group – has led to clashes with his wife Gisele, who emotionally pleaded with her husband to soften his stance due to the bloodshed of the conflict.
<“In early November, just weeks after the attack, Gisele arrived at her husband’s Senate office and, according to a staffer present, they got into a heated argument. ‘They are bombing refugee camps. How can you support this?’ the staffer recalled her saying with tears in her eyes,” New York reported. “‘That’s all propaganda,’ Fetterman replied.”
<Gisele, who was “still visibly upset,” reportedly pulled that staffer aside later and asked if Fetterman’s team “were pushing him to take these stances for political reasons,” prompting the staff to assure her it was the opposite.
<“If you’re pushing back on this, there’s no hope,” the staffer said they recalled Gisele saying. “This is horrible news.” She also reportedly texted another staffer that she was at her “breaking point and I can’t co-sign this any longer,” asking if she could get “some help in language to separate” herself from her husband’s Gaza stance.
<Fetterman would downplay these purported disagreements with his wife in his conversations with New York Magazine, which also revolved around his controversial trip to Mar-a-Lago after Donald Trump’s electoral victory last year, saying she “has her own voice” and he isn’t changing her views.
<“I think that’s very common in political marriage,” he added. “Freedom of speech is a principal pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved, and tyranny is erected on its ruins. Republics…derive their strength and vigor from a popular examination into the action of the magistrates.” ~ Ben Franklin
i think the experiment is over. Political parties were too intrusive and the emotional investments were too taxing to sustain. The internet made the power struggles personal for the partisans.
