>'Irredentism is a political and popular movement whose members claim, and seek to occupy, territory which they consider "lost" (or "unredeemed"), based on history or legend. The scope of this definition is occasionally subject to terminological disputes about underlying claims of expansionism, owing to lack of clarity on the historical bounds of putative nations or peoples.
>This term also often refers to revanchism but the difference between these two terms is, according to Merriam-Webster, that the word "irredentism" means the reunion of politically or ethnically displaced territory, along with a population having the same national identity. On the other hand, "revanchism" evolved from the French word "revanche" which means revenge. In the political realm, "revanchism" refers to such a theory that intends to seek revenge for a lost territory.
>Revanchism (French: Revanchisme, from revanche, "revenge") is the political manifestation of the will to reverse territorial losses incurred by a country, often following a war or social movement. As a term, revanchism originated in 1870s France in the aftermath of the Franco-Prussian War among nationalists who wanted to avenge the French defeat and reclaim the lost territories of Alsace-Lorraine.
>Revanchism draws its strength from patriotic and retributionist thought and is often motivated by economic or geopolitical factors. Extreme revanchist ideologues often represent a hawkish stance, suggesting that their desired objectives can be achieved through the positive outcome of another war.
>Revanchist politics often rely on the identification of a nation with a nation state, often mobilizing deep-rooted sentiments of ethnic nationalism, claiming territories outside the state where members of the ethnic group live, while using heavy-handed nationalism to mobilize support for these aims. Revanchist justifications are often presented as based on ancient or even autochthonous occupation of a territory since "time immemorial", an assertion that is usually inextricably involved in revanchism and irredentism and justifies them in the eyes of their proponents.
>Imperialism is a specific historical stage of capitalism. Its specific character is threefold: imperialism is monopoly capitalism; parasitic, or decaying capitalism; moribund capitalism. The supplanting of free competition by monopoly is the fundamental economic feature, the quintessence of imperialism. Monopoly manifests itself in five principal forms: (1) cartels, syndicates and trusts—the concentration of production has reached a degree which gives rise to these monopolistic associations of capitalists; (2) the monopolistic position of the big banks—three, four or five giant banks manipulate the whole economic life of America, France, Germany; (3) seizure of the sources of raw material by the trusts and the financial oligarchy (finance capital is monopoly industrial capital merged with bank capital); (4) the (economic) partition of the world by the international cartels has begun. There are already over one hundred such international cartels, which command the entire world market and divide it “amicably” among themselves—until war redivides it. The export of capital, as distinct from the export of commodities under non-monopoly capitalism, is a highly characteristic phenomenon and is closely linked with the economic and territorial-political partition of the world; (5) the territorial partition of the world (colonies) is completed.

From 2ch.hk
1. There are NO conscripts in the military operation. Only contractors who have undergone appropriate training. Therefore, the Belarusians do not participate either - they have the entire army on conscription, there are no professional contract soldiers. Therefore, if someone squeals about the "corpses of Russian conscript boys," you can safely spit in his eyes.
2. There can be no question of any 3.5 thousand dead Russian military personnel - such a number of dead would mean several times more wounded, which means that all roads would be clogged with ambulances in the opposite direction, plus the massive deployment of field hospitals - it's impossible to hide it. We do not observe anything like this even in Ukrainian publics.
3. Cases of "capturing individual Russian fighters" that Bandera's propaganda is spinning are unlikely - a single squatter who ran into a neighboring village for moonshine can be captured, but this is not a fighter, this is gouging. A single fighter during an operation in isolation from the column - but who will let him go away?
4. Cases of burnt columns on the march are possible, this is a war, anything can happen. Someone made a mistake, did not keep track, had to leave with empty tanks. Someone will pay for this. In this case, it must be assumed that abandoned empty columns are burned by the Armed Forces of Ukraine retroactively for staged videos.
5. The same with "missiles, ammunition and fuel, which are just enough and which will last for 3-4 days" - enchanting nonsense. Military operations of this level are being prepared for at least several months, everything is calculated and stocked in advance with excess redundancy for all cases.
6. The main leitmotif of the actions of the RF Armed Forces: "we are not Americans." It is they who, seeing something or someone on the way, first throw a grenade, and then they begin to figure it out - and then, if it comes to that. Therefore, a neat detour of a failed suicide who tried to crawl under tanks is the rule. No one is going to produce mountains of corpses, if a person does not resist, why kill him?
7. Undermining the dam of the North Crimean Canal is a preventive measure if one of the frostbitten Natsyuks decides to blow up the higher dam so that the water has somewhere to go. The same applies to nuclear power plants, hydroelectric power plants, and other infrastructure facilities - they are taken under control without fail.
8. The distribution of weapons to the unprepared population, as well as all sorts of "Molotov cocktails", in the confrontation with professionals - enchanting dolboyascherizm. "Three or four stun grenades are enough for them to peel themselves on the spot, drop their weapons and run away." Nothing but the blood of the civilian population at the hands of bandits, it will not bring. After that, it becomes clear that all the actions of the "terodefenders" who destroy road signs, chase after those who supposedly put markings on the roofs, and even undermine bridges - this is just stupidity and complete incompetence. For a modern tanker still needs to be lured to an unknown bridge - why would he risk flying from a collapsed span of the bridge of an unknown state, when it is easier to force a barrier on a pontoon?
9. Kadyrovtsy, trained to fight terrorists in urban conditions and who have undergone appropriate training, will clean up the uproots.
10. The units of the RF Armed Forces participating in the operation do not use mortars. All mortar attacks, all mortar explosions in residential areas (Sumy, Akhtyrka, Donbass), especially in meaningless places where there is no military or energy infrastructure, these are provocations by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the defense industry in order to influence the consciousness of the local population.
In general, summing up, there are no non-professionals in the operation. The operation was prepared long in advance in all respects, and the plan has a bunch of branches for every possible course of events.

<for 30 years they were blowing in their ears that the West is a good reliable friend and brother, and RUSSIA is the ENEMY. what if something we will help you win. zombified people to the marrow of bones. but what actually happened? expired weapons that had been lying in the warehouses of the west for years were waiting for disposal. it is easier and cheaper for the West to get rid of it than to dispose of it. here they found where to shake him off in the form of fraternal help !!!! and the people are dying. the west has one thought in their head that we would quickly kill each other and free the lands for their greedy desires.Damn. I don't know why I didn't think about it. I was laughing about the scrapyard bound MiGs they donated but I don't know why it didn't cross my mind they're probably offloading all expired rockets as well. I remember that Russian commander saying the Ukrainians were failing to use them because they weren't trained and they forgot to charge them, but maybe they wouldn't fire because they were expired.

>>547169What the hell? what kind of retard thinks that Zelensky's got a chance.
If anything the Russians have shown tremendous restrain, it's almost like they're absolutely scared of hurting civilians, they're waging a gentleman's war.

>>546971Nah fugg Khorne, he's for fascists and manchildren. The Changer of Ways is the truly dialectical god.
>>546933Please for the love of God give me a source for that.
>>547205uygha you heretic.
**First pic is cool tho.
>>547221I like how more international publications have articles earlier on looking at effects from the conflict from this sort of perspective, but the Western ones all waited for March to publish all together at once.
Here's another earlier one looking ahead at potential real world impacts.
https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/israel-russia-ukraine-invasion-ten-plagues-1.10599376 >>547229Any person dedicated to studying capitalism should have not just a general understanding of how the stock market works, but its specific movements and how these changes can inform our perception of events, at the very least focing us to question "what does capital want here, and how will it influence happenings".
>>547226US will have to stop using corn for ethanol, which will drive up the cost of oil. Corn itself will also be the first to drop in amount produced per hectare, as it requires immense amounts of fertilizer. Planting season has started/is starting, and it will be critical to keep an eye on seed stocks/what is being planted. It would be prudent to maintain stocks of dried goods to preempt inflationary trends people will be seeing in grocery stores. Good organizing should include food banks locally, while offering sensible explanations of how inflation has a dual nature, consumer goods and asset inflation, such that the latter allows the wealthy to offset the losses in the former, while the poor are unable to stave off inflation through such means.
>>547239Are they changing all the Russian loanwords in English to Ukrainian sounding?
Liberals are so fucking racist.
>>547247>brutalityAll Ukrops do is throw volksturm under tanktreads. Russia is SPARING them 99% of the time, ffs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD3gIx6H_bA This is Kherson, volksturm getting cut in half
>>547269I love how it ends.
Colonel
>Sighhh<This dumb motherfucker<He literally can't understand a word out of my mouth>I guess I have to say it agayne >>547269This is likely going to be reality soon which is I think why someone might say this, given that Russia is not apparently being defeated in Ukraine. It's probably better to prepare people for this before cities begin to fall. You can say a lot of negative things about the operation, but Ukraine forces repelling Russia would seem like a miraculous outcome right now.
Also lol at the very loud sigh when the host asks him and Poland after he just said he wants western Ukraine to be a buffer.
>>547297how does one group of MLs thinking this means all group of MLs think this?
religion is stupid, attacking vulgar clowns is still not justified
>>547284>>547271>>547266>Charlie Hebdo is harmless.EH-HEM-HMM-HMM
*TING-TING-TING*
Your attention, please. I'm about to drop a nuclear take.
Political cartoons are the fucking worst things to have ever happened to political discourse. They are not "benign". They are not "harmless". They actively ruin people's understanding of issues, their social conditions and reduce all political debate to who has the pithiest one-liner. It is a fucking source of false consciousness and anti-intellectualism. To the point people start to refuse to read and complain about too many words.
Fuck political cartoons.
Fuck political cartoonists.
They all are to be executed and Charlie Hebdo deserved worse. >>546908Ironic though because Indian media swallows up the Western narrative on Ukraine.
I always knew they were puppets of MI6 and the CIA. WION pushes racism towards Chinese and blames all of India’s problems on China despite much of the problems being directly from the West.
>>547311So their spirits are smiling down on me when I make fun of their deaths :)
Je suis Charlie :)
>>547318Top kek, good luck to the ISS astronauts in getting their resupply missions.
>>547320I just think their deaths are hilarious same as they thought the 3 year old Syrian's death was funny. Cry more, liberal.
>>547337And you throw a bitch fit on it in the internet? I hope you get a brain aneurysm and die so I never have to speak with you again
>>547339>One commparty’s galaxy brain public statements is marxist theory Sneed
>>547329Not that anon but I think socialism – like liberalism – builds out of the Enlightenment tradition with its belief in scientific thinking and in which the truth is accessible to any rational human being. Liberalism emerged as a bourgeois ideology standing against feudalism which made it a progressive force at that time but it contains contradictions within it (justifications for colonialism and imperialism is built into the ideology).
There is something Stokely Carmichael said about liberals today, that they're liaisons between the oppressed and their oppressors. They're like arbitrators. On the one hand, they promise the oppressor that they can keep things under control (stop the oppressed from doing anything too "radical") while promising the oppressed that he can alleviate their suffering.
>>547345The only difference between them and me (apart from me not being a bougoid) is that I don't take my unfunny edgy takes and make shitty comics out of them to sell for hundreds of thousands of $
My sense of humor is just as valid without being commodified. Thinking otherwise makes you a lib.
>>547359I think "Z" has good potential to become a countermeme.
Shirts, car decals, etc. etc. Just like "let's go Brandon" and shit like that.
>>547404>NATO did provoke the war, I'm glad you changed you stance. You are once again in my good grace.

>>547269I can only imagine how fucking tiring it is for military experts having to deal with pinheads like that.
I felt that sigh all the way over here.
>>547231>>547232>>547259>I'm starting to think that Twitter anarchists are a psyop (and other such comments)How are you just now realizing this? I have always worked off of the premise that you retards all knew this already but pretend the twitter kids are real anarchists because it suits secterian-posters narratives and that 'dunking on the anarchhists le ebic mode!' is more important to the type of people that go out of their way to attack anarchists than the truth.
If you think this is unrealistic to believe you only have to go as far as looking at the guy who occasionally shits and pisses all over this thread about a few anarchists that joined fighting against Russia in Donbas or every retard that decides to go shit up the @ General.
