I dunno about that. There are black superstars who have lyrics that could be perceived as homophobic. Really it's like calling someone a bitch, but if anything Eminem created more controversy because he's white, and white critics weren't used to a white artist keeping it as real as him. You get a kind of realism with Eminem where the guy is absolutely committed to parade his demons publicly and tell his own truth, so you get his bigotries and stupidities with his creativity, intelligence and courage.
