Impossible for me to pick a single favorite song ever but what has been probably my favorite song for a while now is this

I think this one

This is a tough one.
I think the one I've been going with for the past few years has been "Romeo's Distress."

Really hard to choose. I'm only going to consider pieces of music featuring the human voice, so my choice would Soon by My Bloody Valentine. Predictable Anglo hipster/mu/core choice I know, but it's the essence of what I love in noise rock and electronic music: weird indistinct textures sounding groovy as hell.

Holy shite I didn't R E A L I S E Sage!61KGLATVW. is a fellow MBV enjoyer, I used to hate you m8 but you are based in my books now.
I rate highly Slow and Cigarette in Your Bed from the same EP. The bass on Slow is fucking massive and the lyrics are about receiving a blowjob lol. Cigarette in Your Bed is idk just so fucking cute. It's oxytocin-releasing music, mental.
I think the Ecstasy & Wine compilation and Sunny Sundae Smile EP are pretty underrated tbh btw.
Have you heard the demo of Don't Ask Why that got released sneakily on the latest reissue of the EPs compilation? Vid related, it's so fucking great, I wish we would get all these sessions between Isn't Anything and Loveless and also hours of Kevin Shields going batshit insane after Island Records gave them loads of cash to build a studio in the mid-1990s and they got problems with the mixing table and the wiring or something, all that shit on Bandcamp, pls Kevin.
On second thoughts, my favorite track of Loveless is I Only Said, but Soon really is kinda timeless–despite sounding pretty much like 1990. I'm pretty sure Sentinelese people could vibe to "the vaguest piece of music ever to get into the charts" if they got it from an aeroplane.

Didn't expect that voice at all, beautiful.

>>5522
You know what's funny is I've played you made me realise so many times, since I heard it maybe 10/12 years ago, hundreds of times each year. I haven't really dug into the rest of their stuff despite this. I'll have a look at these tracks for sure. Now that I play soon again I'm not sure why I haven't. Start could be like a stone roses track. im sad that you hate me we should be friends

>>5491
this is a real nice video is that machu pichu?

>>5528
I actually think this album is where they started to go off but there is some good tracks on like this one, bliss or plug in baby is the best of them tho i think. Pretty mad though map of the problematique is pretty much like a goth trance song..but the keyboard hook has like a funk to it. Without the words it could be Tiesto or something.

>>5533
tell me more about this song anon, what glorious future are they grasping for?

>>5535
As I listened to this I was trying to put my finger on something about it, like it was kinda jaunty but haunting in equal measure, and then immediately after I had that thought, the kinda wail kicked in, and then after that it hit the more upbeat element to it kicked in with the distorted guitar. Nice. A good gradual builder. Keeps you guessing just when you think you've got it

>>5534

youtube wont let me listen to this for some reason. Pain in the arse. I'll try again tomorrow

>>5549
whats the first one that popped into you head

>>5552

Yes, it's Macchu Picchu. In fact, that band is the only band that has ever managed to get permission by the Peruvian government to play there. iirc Pink Floyd tried to convince them but they didn't let them.

 No.5648

Call me a LARPer but the International never gets old. that said I really dont have a favorite song
