I have a theory for why the cuck fetish is so prevalent amongst Gen Z men - it basically boils down to two things:

1/ Gen Z males are beginning to have sex or engage in sexual activity at a far later point in their lives compared to older generations. A high number of Gen Z males aren't getting laid until their early 20s, thus missing out on formative sexual development in late adolescence.

2/ Gen Z men have consumed more porn, and from an earlier age, than any other generation in history. The internet has provided Gen Z with an unlimited source of highly graphic, hardcore porn at their fingertips.

These two things might not seem too bad in isolation. However, in combination it means that Gen Z males are experiencing their entire sexual development through watching porn and in the position of the voyeur i.e. just watching. Observing.
The result is that when they actually get to having sex with a real woman, it feels unnatural to them. They have been conditioned to feel most at home not being involved in the sexual act itself, instead preferring to get off from the visual rather than physical stimulus while masturbating. Which is why being a cuck is so appealing to them.

So according to your theory, where do the people who fall right between the millennials and zoomers, like myself, fit in then?
