How do I deal with the fact I am not very smart? Recently I have been trying to read up on computing, mathematics, statistics, and simply hit the limits of my intellects. I am never going to be good at any of this. What is the point of even trying, fully aware that even at my best I will never produce anything other than blind repetitions of greater people's work, not even being fully aware of what I am doing or why, like a simple biological robot. Inputs and outputs, nothing in between.

Immigrants and poor people have been learning languages since time immemorial out of necessity. It gets to the point where you just need to watch a lot of tv in that language after a certain point.
