I need some advice
I pay for essentials for my bf, new glasses, food, medical stuff. (He can't work due to autism)
He has told me that he feels like a parasite, that he's taking advantage of me and that I can't see that he's abusing me.
I don't think he is, money is just paper and having him around is worth any cost I could encoure.
Why does he assume because I pay for his stuff he's a parasite? How can I prove to him that having him around is worth it's weight in gold.
>>667377>How can I prove to him that having him around is worth it's weight in gold.Maybe you can just tell him such a thing if you haven't already.
Somthing like:
Without you, it's all sorrow and torment for poor me, if you leave me thinking like that, what would I even do.. money wouldn't ease the pain..
>>667606Yes, it's big and I like to… Well you know
>>667607No I won't, I like him big and hairy.
>>667627Reading into it to much, I know what it represents it's just worth nothing compared to the life of this man.
>>667382thats unironically one of the least autist friendly jobs in the world
plus its very hard to find a job in tech because its flooded with people who read somewhere that programmers make a lot of money (however, like most jobs, only the top 1% are making all that money, most people working in tech make just above minimum wage)
plus most tech workers will be fired as 80% of tasks are automated in the future by AI
>>667377He's a man. He's been trained to think that his only worth is a provider. These brainworms are extremely difficult to fix.
>>667379Autism has like 80% unemployment rate. As an autist myself, the reason is likely that level 1 autists seem normal enough to just pass for a "weirdo" rather than a person with a mental condition, making it more likely to not make it out of the interview. Additionally, problems with executive function are super common as well as problems related to sensory overload.
There's also masking related burnout: autists are burnout just from having to interact with normals.
