Before Peter Thiel and his family settled in California they lived for a while in Swakopmund, a city in what is now Namibia that was at the time under the control of apartheid South Africa. It was described as being "more German than Germany". Open displays of Nazi glorification were an everyday occurance up until the 1990s. The more I think about it, the more I really don't like Germans. Their whole holocaust guilt complex is a put-on. If they could they would be acting like their compatriots in Swakopmund did. The German government is enthusiastically cheering on the Palestinian Genocide and writing Israel a blank check while using draconian measures against pro-Palestine activists domestically. I encountered a German on here who said he will always stand with Jews no matter what they do, because Germans owe it to them. Germans are just smug assholes. And Berlin is the world capital os the pseudoleftist mafia. I've encountered enough "leftist" Berliners on here to know better. The "Antideutsch" are the most visibly obnoxious, but the "tankies" are just as bad; they're porno-communists. Even Cold Warrior Margaret Thatcher was horrified by German reunification.

Even their Holocaust reconciliation is shit because their explanation is that Hitler was such a good orator that he tricked Germans into becoming evil. That‘s pretty much what they taught us in history class in Germany, that it was all ingenious propaganda. Nothing about how anti-semitism was already prevalent, that the idea of a master race has already existed before as part of European colonialism, that General Plan Ost was settler-colonial project is never explicitly labeled as such and that Hitler was supported by the rich and capitalists. It‘s like the unwitting, poor Germans were suddenly tricked by these novel ideas nobody heard before and it was solely about those ideas themselves. That‘s why it pissed me off whenever I see Germans on social media like „we know a thing or two about fascism“ or „that‘s how it starts! t. a concerned German“. You don‘t know shit and your people are still complicit in racism and oppression. Be it Arabs at home or Arabs in Palestine.

All the benefits that were expected from German reunification actually went to Poland because it didn't have to go through that process and BMW and Mercedes opened new plants in Poland and elsewhere in Mitteleuropa because their wages were cheaper while Eastern Germany stagnated
