Mine is the same but I want kids to teach them that way of life

I want a piece of land where i can grow my own food, herbs, medicine and have a home that is also an inn for travelers, where all i have to do is make dinner for a few people and to live my life as i want to. Yes their would be some video games, but i mostly wanna talk to new people and make sure they're taken care of while on the way to some place new. Somewhere where the weather isn't to hot or cold, where it rains a little but not enough to flood and where my family can have a nice little cozy existence. And some goats too for cheese, a couple of chickens for eggs.

their would be no rent, or taxes to pay, no big angry men with guns to come fuck your things up… that sounds like a nice dream to me.

Parents who rewarded being "smart" when I was growing up, always feeling like being able to have conversations and listen and be empathetic is only smart adjacent and lying to myself. Seeing and meeting people who are much smarter and more gifted than me. Lots of experiences with academic failure. Major ego issues and not enough meditation and psychedelics. Keeping up with the joneses. Living in the US and Seeing people make money from their intelligence. Seeing intelligence as a trade off for mental illness but realizing that people without mental illness have things objectively better full stop.

Wanting to be appreciated for having made a difference/being kind is built into us with a brain that rewards us for altruism no?
