Fuck you. I drank so much I can't drink any more. I'm not happy. And I'm even more unhappy because I can't drink. I'm a blackout alcoholic and I know if I go back to it I'll die or kill someone else.
All I have is weed. Which is cheaper than booze anyway.
I'm still unhappy, but compared to others I may be privileged. No one probably qualifies for your approval.

But the thing is, alcohol is the most abused drug and it's not given half the amount of scrutiny.

Alcoholics are the most coddled breed of degenerate in society.
They're the only ones allowed to still indulge in their habit even when in recovery.
They don't know how to keep their mess to themselves.
They always wanna be loud, obnoxious and vomit everywhere, spill blood, trip and fall like a paraplegic, sexually harass others, fight others, etc.

The worst part is, when they come to their senses, they don't even remember what they did.

At least stoners lock themselves in the house all day and try to stay away from people as much as possible

Sort of true. I pushed as far as I could with every drug I tried. And that's a me thing. All there is left is weed and believe me, I'm getting as close to ruining things with it as is possible. Mainly just means I stay high all the time, avoid responsibilities, and sleep way too much and on a screwy timeline.
But when it comes down to it I'll get my shit done. I just procrastinate all the damn time. I was far worse off using other drugs. If there wasn't weed I'd probably put my head on a baseball bat and run around it in circles until I collapsed in dizziness. Because I'm a guy who has loved being intoxicated since the moment I discovered it. I wish I could find religion or something but my brain won't buy it.

In fact, I would say that the amount of depression-induced drinks are smaller than you think.


Especially if you grew up before the 1990s, chances are, you probably started acquainted with booze in your teenage years.

I remember some lunch lady or something in elementary school telling us about how we all looked to young and kids were looking too young for their age.
