After that's solved:
>how to actually engage with and digest filmsIn my case, I started appreciating films more when I shifted my view of it as a body of fiction created by a scriptwriter, a director, a producer, a cinematographer, and a bunch of actors who have interpreted the script in their own ways. Movies are expensive and time-consuming to produce, so you can be certain every single detail is intentional. Every element, be it narrative or visual, is put there for you as a viewer to elaborate upon in your own head. Why is this shot filmed in this angle? Why did this character do X thing? Why is this scene being shown to me? Everything has intentionality, and this makes my mind wander as to why certain things are the way they are, and why the movie crew decided to show it.
