How do I deal with the fact that I think one of my acquaintances is a horrible parasite?

Normally I wouldn't care but he genuinely just fascinates me as a person because I feel like it'd just take only the slightest effort for him to be normal but he just refuses to do anything. Every time we meet for a drink or something i'll try and give him advice on what to do but I don't think he takes any of it in. I genuinely would want to die if I was in his position.

If I cared a little more I'd be inspired to look for a girlfriend after reading about your friend. I'm about his age but at least I have a job I guess. I'm probably not as good looking as him though.
