Like, her most recent video about Yoko Ono was actually a pretty good essay about how the idea that Yoko Ono broke up the Beatles was nonsense and mostly boomer cope… then she veered into a separate rant about Courtney Love had nothing to do with Kurt Cobain's death, actually the idea that either of these men could be manipulated by their romantic partners means you must think they're "manbabies" (because apparently only a "manbaby" could be manipulated by his romantic partner), and Amber Heard did nothing wrong.

One of my favorites, though, is her big apology video Stephanie Meyer saying that Twilight was pretty good, actually, and the public bashing of Twilight was purely because society hates teenage girls, and you would NEVER see society and the media bashing schlock made for teenage boys! Like she forgot that she made a whole video series making fun of the Michael Bay Transformers movies, a series of blockbuster schlock films aimed at teenage boys that received significant public ridicule. Oh, and this video was released totally coincidentally around the time that defending Twilight and claiming that Twilight hate was misogyny was trending in femcel social media.

These are the same women who claim themselves to be independent strong ladies but yet wait upon men to do everything for them and never take responsibility for their own romantic mistakes.

These women are projecting their own immaturity onto the opposite sex. Not unlike chuds doing the same

Only video essayist I've seen speak against Kinkade is Solar Sands and that guy is very liberal and to the right of even most Breadtubers. Jacob Geller on the other hand, made a pretty good video about fascist's love for kitschy hyper-realist landscapes/statues of buff dudes and their hatred for abstract "degenerate" art.

Lindsay Ellis can indeed be an annoying lib feminist who can't take any criticism at all but she's right that society has never been exactly kind towards stuff enjoyed by teenage girls. Boys don't get nearly the same amount of ridicule for liking Transformers, superhero stuff and shounen manga as girls for liking Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Wattpad fanfics.

Anything made for teenagers and toddlers gets ridiculed far more than anything made for adults.
But boys do get ridiculed for liking action adventure stuff but it's more from a patronising sociopolitical professional pathologising male youth as being covert rapists/serial killers.

I remember the Transformers movies being just as much a target of public ridicule as Twilight was. I dont remember Twilight fans getting attacked at all, beyond maybe some mild ribbing and concern that Twilight might be giving young girls unrealistic or unhealthy expectations.

Yeah and why would anyone need to make a movie talking about how shitty Kinkade is, everyone except his fans hate him.
