tbh I think the astronomy hate/ flat earth shit is actually a very good example of how the burger right winger views the world. back when Galileo and Copernicus were developing early theories of heliocentrism a ton of reactionaries were big mad since that would imply the entire universe doesn't literally revolve around humanity(and by extension themselves). the modern burger chud rejects astronomy,evolution,climate change, public transport, the concept of society being more than atomized individuals,vaccination, modern medicine in general, public education, literacy and anything that might imply there's bigger and more important shit going on than themselves. They believe there special indigo children in a world full of mindless subhuman sheeple, meanwhile science usually says the opposite. They are just another homo sapiens no too dissimilar from the other 7-8 billion primates being affected my massive systemic problems we'll have to work together to solve. This is a fate worse than death for burger chuds.
