I find it really amusing that the kids have come up with the concept of "coded" characters. It's like they don't understand that being a minority of some kind doesn't preclude you from relating to the more or less universal phenomena depicted in popular art, like bro fucking Goku is not "black coded" because he didn't know his dad and grew up fighting he's a fuckin cartoon drawn by a Japanese guy who was trying to rip off Journey to the West he was not thinking about the temporal conditions of black life in the US.
