There was no Gulag in the 1980s, and I am pretty sure that was the diet or ordinary citizens, not those in forced labour camps.

considering the vast difference in quality of life and time spent laboring depending on which gulag you got sent too and for what reason(If I had to guess as to why I would be sent to one prolly saying some crazy ultra shit in front of a revisionist party member or growing weed) I would avoid gang politics at all cost and get a lot of bird watching done. It would fucking sweet to see a Willow Ptarmigan irl even if I'm literally in Siberia. I would also shank and rob Solzhenitsyn every chance I get.
