Why did the libyan people turn against him?

because he was too restrictive on personal freedoms, and harrased everyneighbor for petty reasons but only went to war against one, chad pickupriders on the ouzou strip which dissatisfied the tribes living on the southern borders

this is just the internals, ghaddafi's fuck up was inflated from outside, by the UK and france wanting him out of the picture for training and supplying enemies of them. and if im right americans have been trying to kill him as early as the seventies. he should of finished that nuke if he wanted to stay alive, but since libya is very close to israel and NATO geographically, that was never going to be left
