Ya know, I'll say it, I remember it being kind of funny. I also think midwit is a kinda high praise for it, as has already been pointed out, there's not any read of that movies politics that isn't at least a little eugenicsy or fashy. Also I haven't seen it years so I could be wrong about it even being funny
