every institution is only governed by a certain ethnicity, so as in lebanon the maronites governed water or finance and the shia muslims governed this or that. they did the same in south sudan.


also not many know this but my conspiracy theory is israel helped in dividing sudan to weaken it from helping arabs during the arab israeli conflicts, by arming south sudanese rebels through uganda under Idi Amin.

Which the north sudan refused thus causing a civil war these countries that only exist as post colonial inventions are very keen on not granting independence to their ethnic minorities and keeping their colonial borders intact.

Thats because south sudan is an completely made up country with arbitrary borders that is filled with dozens of ethnic minorities that hate eachother south sudan should've balkanized aswell once the threat of the north was gone there was nothing keeping the peoples of south sudan together and thus they started fighting eachother
