Currently looking for another static site host because Neocities seems to be cracking under the pressure of the Visa/Mastercard/Stripe situation (no official announcement yet as far as I know, might be fine)
Nekoweb is appearently not a great solution either–allowing a very narrow selection of nsfw content, but being toyhouse adjacent, therefor likely to bend willingly.
I don't even have anything nsfw on my site, but nsfw artists are like an indicator species, their absence is a death knell for a platform and I'm not going to use something that's probably gonna crumble in a year.

Well any site that you can submit information for other users to see counts in my book, hence me bringing up the neocities situation.

There are multiple twitter (through nitter) and blsky accounts I watch, I believe the 1-2 sentence format lead to development of new artform of super short prose, I really enjoy it. However it goes by too quickly, by the time I see some interesting tweet made a day ago the conversation has already moved on, and the communication is very big account centric, you dont really have ability to start a conversation because chances are nobody will even see your tweet, all you can do is wait for someone with plenty followers to start talking about something and join in in the replies.

Not only are they missing the point, but they're renting out a domain for no reason.

It's the latter, there's a lot of porn there. Like if a porn artist has a website chances are it's a neocities.
