This is kind of a lib moralist thread, because lynching can be good, while law enforcement violence can be bad

These types tend to be against corporeal punishment, which they're correct to be since revenge is liberalism. If someone is a big enough problem that such a thing is even proposed then that makes investigating and changing their material conditions more urgent to prevent further cases, making them being alive useful.
