Get a blood test for a1c. It's very cheap

Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) Test:
Measures average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months.
A result of 6.5% or higher indicates diabetes.
A result of 5.7-6.4% indicates prediabetes.
