What's the point of a strong government if you can't even revolt against it if it goes wrong?

>>704879
Basic anarchist question, a good one though, what happens is that if something goes wrong the USSR collapses like it did.

>>704879
People will get mad at me, but I actually kinda sympathize with Karl Popper's open society proposal for that reason. A good government should be responsive to both public opinion and open to new ideas at an institutional level.

>>704879
If only there were a form of government where the citizens could change who was in power without needing to fight a civil war every time.

>>704918
>democracy works!

No it doesn't.

>>704879
Enforcing the interests of the ruling class

>>704879
What's the point of a weak government if it collapses against a stiff breeze?

>>705800
What's the point of arguing this if you desire a stateless society anyway..?

>>704920
>>democracy works!
>No it doesn't.
<it wasnt REAL democracy! communists should uphold democratic ideals!
you inbred radlibs act like capitalism existing was some miraculous accident lmfao

>>704918
you cant change whos in power in bourgeois democracies though. left wing moderates to centrists to conservatives, nothing changes fundamentally

>>705825
So uhhh not a liberal but I don't think there has ever been a pure democracy, such things usually collapse inwards on themselves.. now there are democratic systems of elected officials supposedly representing you but this isn't really the same as direct representation. Idk how Switzerland works, admittedly, but they apparently "have" direct representation in place, although I don't believe it. The democratic systems which have survived were with indirect representatives and/or not everyone was allowed to vote going back into history.

>goes wrong
subjective, some people will see it that way, others will be loyalists, the real question youre asking for is why there is no peaceful way for people to separate out of the nation they dont want to be in and take with them some people and resources in a kindof negotiation farewell trade since circumstances are always different and require flexibility

What's the point of a government if you're not in power yourself?

>>705910
I don't want to be the one in power, I'd rather be the one to take it away

>>704879
There should be a strong government but only locally and ruled by direct proletarian democracy. Communes should then form confederations to cooperate in regional level operations, etc. to global level projects like a confederation of confederations.

>>705913
I think this should be beamed directly into everyone's brains.

R u Adam Sandler??

>>706351
I'm not a Jew no.

>>705913
Wouldn't that be inefficient and lead to fragmentation?

A strong govt would not have a crowd of subhumans like you threatening it. It would simply blow you away like a hair off its shoulder.

>>706382
A government that keeps blowing its citizens wont be strong for long. Actually even non citizens apply to this, the point is that a paranoid and trigger happy government will soon be dragged to a security spiral (like in the US where all the budget goes to the Army's very hyperinflated toys) leaving nothing for social development

false premise, china had a strong government and still revolted against maoist anarchism and reinstated orthodox marxism

>>706412
The best government in human existence

>>705911
But that would make you the one in power after

>>706380
There's more in life than raw efficiency. So long as we're able to maintain a good standard of life and prevent reaction from taking over, everything is fine.

>>706421
No?

Refer to George Washington

>>706427
And isn't a centralized government better at preventing reaction?
Also, efficiency reduces work hours, se should be aiming for the best, to surpass capitalism, not just get mediocre results.
