It's a power thing. Older men, generally having moreoneg and experience, are seen as powerful. Probably also something to do with fathers, though I don't mean to say everyone who likes older men has daddy issues. I do think sometimes people just prefer a fatherly influence in their lives even if they have a healthy relationship with their actual fathers, and the brain can absolutely sexualize that desire.

We had this thread before. The simple answer is because they are still better than boys their own age, plus they project a fantasy onto them. It could also be that you simply picked the shitty ones.

On a different note, once I got older getting girls became easier. I already heard this was true but it still surprised me when it happened to me in my early twenties. Teenage girls would be more often receptive to me or come on to me. I remember when I was waiting for the train. It ran late and there was no update, so I just asked two girls walking by. One of them invited me to join them and she was asking me a bunch of sly questions like if I live her and that „I was probably here to visit my girlfriend.“ As a teenager I occasionally had girls showing interest but as an adult man you have teenage girls who serve themselves on a silver platter to you.

Older men have a sense of confidence in themselves. It feels nice to have someone who is stable, not just financially but also emotionally. It may be projection but the idea is still there.

women want a father not a boyfriend.
