Mr Beast sucks but building wells is good in principle. I question the quality of the wells and whether they might be like leaching harmful chemicals into the water but it's still water access for people who probably didn't have it before.

It's good when Americans or Chinese people or anyone else helps build vital infrastructure in Africa. Aid to Africa has drastically improved life there over the last forty years, contrary to common belief. Aid to Africa, and much private charity too (include charity efforts like building wells, water purifiers, cash transfers, and food aid) is quite successful. The worst thing that Trump has done so far has been to cancel all foreign aid except for Egypt and Israel. I couldn't come up with a more malevolent policy if I tried.
