As a straight cis guy I fucking hate how this is literally 90% of all conservative rhetoric, not just because I feel compassion for others but that does play a part but also just because this shit causes conservatives to win big. Conservatives constantly bitch about how “Democrats are giving free boob jobs to illegal transgender Guatemalan immigrant children” and get massive success, literally all you have to say to counter that is “That’s not true because immigration is not the source of your material conditions, your material conditions are caused by capitalism and immigration waves are caused by the exploitation of the global south” however since liberals want to preserve capitalism they can’t say that so they just loose! You’d think that this would just cause liberalism to fall and leftists to take its place but no because in the duopoly the liberals use all of their strength to crush leftist momentum.
