I was watching this realtor guy giving warnings about to all the gaijin buying these traditional Japanese homes thinking they are a steal and all the insane work you need to do to retrofit them. Apparently the second story floors aren't even solid. If you way more than a 5'4 Japanese man from the early 1900s you can easily fall through the floor.
