>invade finland to secure the border against leningrad
>all it does is guarantee finland will invade during operation barbarossa and all the land ends up getting reconquered by the finns during it and leningrad gets encircled anyway.
What exactly was stalins masterplan here?
>>709544>know there is going to be a warExcept the war was never going to happen unless they they invaded and took finnish land first.
>have more land to trade for time once war startsFor what? Time all the finnish front accomplished for the russians was the loss of hundreds of thousands of troops dead that would've been way better used fighting the germans.
>>709545>Except the war was never going to happenyou are mentally retarded. read mein kampf or a history book or something, the fascist plan from day 1 was to invade the soviet union
and finland was always going to join because they were fascist and why the fuck wouldn't they. don't worry about the thousand troops, they killed more finns than they lost troops so it was worthy. matter of fact, the only error stalin made was not nuking helsinki right after the first successful soviet nuclear test
>>709552>you are mentally retarded.Pure projection
>and finland was always going to join because they were fascist The werent.
>and why the fuck wouldn't theyWhy the fuck would they invaded a superpower when they had no reason to and nothing to gain from it.
>they killed more finns than they lost troops so it was worthy. What the fuck does this even mean?
>only error stalin made was not nuking helsinki right after the first successful soviet nuclear testNah the only error stalin made was not dying of a stroke 15 years earlier.
>>709555>the only error stalin made was not dyingthe fascist shows his true face
>Pure projectionwhat a comeback. you have the brain of a dog
>Why the fuck would they invaded a superpowerto stop the revolution, to discipline their own working class, to annex land to placate their internal contradictions (that had led to the civil war), to give contracts to both local and german manufacturers, and generally the same reasons their main ally, both politically and ideologically, nazi germany, did
>>709558again, read mein kampf (a source that you, being a fascist, will trust more than my word). they saw organized industrial labor and big cities as a cradle for communism and wanted to replace it with a society of small landowners and farmers. their plan from day 1 was to expand east and exterminate the slavs so germans and their allies could settle there. emulating through the fascist state what the americans had done thought public-private means
>>709560>source: trust medog brain
>>709562Wtf does mein kampf have to do with finland?
>dog brainBut enough about yourself
>>709566check
>>>/siberia/709552fascism needs war to manage it's contradictions, be it germany or finland (by their own admission btw)
>>709567finland wasnt facist and mein kampf is about nazism not facism
germany motivations for invading the ussr were not the same as finlands nor was its ideology youre literally just making shit up as you go
>>709568>nazism not facismlol. lmao. dog brain
>not the same as finlandsthey literally did ethnic cleansing and settler projects on the land they stole, who are you trying to fool
>>709570>>709565Come on, both of you. Finland was not fascist or Nazi. They almost certainly would not have joined in on Operation Barbarossa without the invasion, just like how Sweden didn't join in.
However, Finland had some settler projects created on land they captured. This was almost certainly done in "revenge" for the Soviets taking land from them and sending Russians/other Soviet citizens there. Basically it was the "two wrongs make a right" fallacy applied to geopolitics.
>>709514The original plan was to annex the entirety of Finland. It didn't happen.
I personally believe that the finnish ultimatum was to acquire fortified finnish lands for further steps of annexation just like baltics
>>7096341. the soviet union was a multi-ethnic country, you saying "russians" is your xenophobia slipping
2. the soviet union, specially at that time, had better growth prospects than the west because of the socialist planned economy. that's how they out-produced the nazis and their finnish allies (among others), for example. or how the average soviet citizen had a better diet than the average westerner
>>709514Thats nice and all, but Charlie Kirk is still dead.
Haha.
>>709638I'm not talking about grain i'm talking about oil retard.
At the eve of operation barbarossa 67% of german oil stockpiles were from the soviet union.
Had the soviets just not traded oil to germany then the nazi's wouldn't have even had enough oil to mount an invasion of the soviet union.
>>709645What fucking nazi propaganda? This is literally public information the soviets had commercial agreements with germany from 1939-1941 during which they provided them with multiple million tons of oil ton.
You can literally just look this up.
