I think every serious communist and leftist should be a nudist/naturist.
>In 1922: The Down With Shame movement holds nude marches and "Evenings of the Denuded Body" intended to dispel earlier bourgeois morality, in the Soviet Union.
>Adolf Koch, a left-wing primary-school teacher, sought to use social nudity to free the people from "authority fixated conditioning which held proletarians in deference of their masters: parental authority, paternalism of the church, the mass media and organs of law and order." In 1926, Adolf Koch established a school of naturism in Berlin, encouraging a mixing of the sexes, open air exercises, and a programme of "sexual hygiene".
Of course, the Nazi's disapproved of public nudity, seeking to reinforce traditional culture and the shame of oneself, which is integral to fascist ideology:
>In 1933, after the Nazi Party came to power, nudist organisations were initially banned or integrated into Nazi organisations.
>>>One of the greatest dangers for German culture and morality is the so-called nudity movement. Greatly as it is to be welcomed in the interest of public health, that ever wider circles, especially of the metropolitan population, are striving to make the healing power of sun and air and water serviceable to their body, as greatly must the so-called nudity movement be disapproved of as a cultural error. Among women the nudity kills natural modesty; it takes from men their respect for women and thereby destroys the prerequisite for any genuine culture. It is therefore expected of all police authorities that, in support of the spiritual powers developed through the national movement (Nazism), they take all police measures to destroy the so-called nude culture.
>>— Hermann Göring, 1933 Nazi edict
>After World War II, East Germans were free to practice naturism, chiefly at beaches rather than clubs (private organizations were regarded as potentially subversive). Naturism became a large element in DDR politics. The Proletarische Freikörperkulturbewegung subsection of the Workers Sports Organisation had 60,000 members.
>Behind the Freikörperkultur movement is a philosophy that views the naked body as natural and free from shame. The movement emphasised that practicing full nudity allowed the body to function naturally, improving comfort and relaxation while being fully exposed to natural elements such as light, air, and sun. The communal practice of nudity within Freikörperkultur is widely regarded as liberating and is associated with mutual acceptance and a positive body image. Nudity within Freikörperkultur is based on body acceptance, freedom, and connection with nature, with no sexual connotation. Being nude on the beach and in water provides a distinct bodily sensation compared to wearing swimsuits, one that is generally perceived as more natural and pleasant. In this context, nudity is perceived as non-sexual and holds no direct connection to sexuality.
>Naturists were also a prominent affinity group among Spanish anarcho-syndicalists.
>>710028Nudism/naturism doesn't mean you
can't wear clothes, it just means you should be
allowed to be nude, and shouldn't feel ashamed of being so.

>>710036You will get banned.
>>710071Cute.
>>710102>We should destigmatize nudity though and have stuff like nude beaches and public baths. That is the primary purpose of nudism. I feel like their is a common misconception that nudism means you
have to be nude, all the time, everywhere. Well I don't have a problem with that, it really isn't common amongst nudists. But I do remember reading about a weird christian sect that practiced
militant nudism 24/7, but they had weird religious reasons for doing so, like they thought clothing was a sin for some reason.
