The worst feeling isn’t even the size of the roads it’s the size of the buildings themselves that contributes to the feeling that you’re constantly lost—that and the fact that most of them are locked up to for most of the day. The only reason why those places don’t feel completely barren is due to the landscaping work and the fact that most buildings are painted soft colours to not feel soul crushingly boring.
I can’t remember the last time I’ve been outside for reasons outside of work and education over this annoyance. Years since most likely
