yt-dlp doesn't have as grandiose goals in relation to YouTube specifically, but it's still adversarial: give YouTube the minimum information necessary to download a video, and store it so it doesn't need to be accessed more than once. The minimum now will be a JavaScript runtime in a container, surely with more security measures in place.
