We know that intelligence is a naturally-occurring phenomenon in the universe and we know that the universe is extremely big and it has existed for a very long time, and we know that intelligence does not evolve simultaneously and uniformly throughout the universe, so logically there must be a vast number of other intelligent species in the universe aside from us, many of which predate our species by billions of years. We know that we can't possibly be the first beings in the universe to ask a question or figure something out or to reshape the structure of the universe on some level. There must be others who are much older and wiser and more omnipotent than we are. And statistically there must be one species, one creature, one entity, one intelligence somewhere out there in this vast universe who is the oldest and the wisest intelligence of all. Thoughts?

Everything you say is true due to law of large numbers however it’s more than likely impossible to encounter these other species and civilizations as light speed is only so fast and the distance between every object in the universe gets bigger every day

Have a look into Posados

That's assuming forward-only time, could be time is expanding backwards as quickly as it is forward, and every second a new oldest species is created retroactively.

The ultimate intelligence that the universe inevitably gives rise to would probably not literally "be somewhere out there" in space as I clumsily phrased it; it would be everywhere and nowhere, it would be inside of everything, it would be outside of everything, it would be the unity of all of existence, it would be infinite and unknowable and indescribable, etc.

so you're pic related with extra steps

That gif is a very important religious symbol please don't make a mockery of it.

I think the first creature is matter and we're living inside it

>we know that intelligence does not evolve simultaneously and uniformly throughout the universe

How do we know that? I remember many years ago some popular science article argued that due to star formation and metal concentration or something like that it's quite possible we're some of the earliest intelligent life to evolve in the universe. Someone's gotta be first. Maybe we'll be the great old ones the other races wax poetic about when they find our ruins on the moon.

>so logically there must be a vast number of other intelligent species in the universe aside from us
Non sequitur. It's possible, perhaps even probable, but it doesn't follow necessarily.

We don't know any of this, but for the sake of argument, let's assume it's true. The problem is that your title says "Checkmate atheists," but with this argumentation you're at best checkmating skeptics of aliens. There's a difference between a supernatural deity and an alien race, no?

white boys take ayahuasca once and then say shit like this, as if it is some original and profound thought

>Thoughts?
If other life exists far beyond the solar system, it's too far to contact in any meaningful way. Irrelevant philosophising.
