Where did hostility regarding knowledge gaps come from? Even I've been needlessly abrasive to people because they didn't know something I considered them to have "ought to have already known" growing up and I have no idea what instilled that in me.

I know the root of the issue is capitalism somehow but I don't quite know how to connect the dots here.
