What happened to this site, why is it so dead now?
I know the blackout happened and people disappeared but do you expect me to believe they just stopped using image boards?

leftypol has been steadily bleeding users for multiple years now, in part because of the many splinterings but largely because the left-wing momentum of the previous decade amounted to fuck-all and we're all just left coping with the helplessness of the left in most of the world
Mods decided to split up the website, which naturally kills activity as people who used to be together are now separated, instead of people from different nationalities interacting and seeing each other's threads on /leftypol/, we instead get them segregated in /latam/, where the only somewhat active general is the Brazilian one. Do we really need a separate /games/, /anime/, /music/, /draw/ and /hobby/ boards when instead of several inactive boards, we could have a few active boards? The less people one can interact with on a digital space, the less incentive there is to participate in it (Network Effect), and the administration of this website made the active choice of killing the networks by segregation.

Even siberia is less busy now, back then even the games, anime, hobby, tech, fuck even music had far more activity. Now people only really seem to use leftypol and siberia.

The people that run this place are literally the most unserious people that I've seen running a website. I've seen gaming clans run more seriously than this. There's a lot of QOL adjustments they could be doing (Like being able to edit posts without deleting them) but instead, they apparently want to make more dead boards. It's honestly kind of a miracle this website did not die with the old server.
