Why would violent protests even be bad?
We all know that the No Kings protests are just a bunch of liberal whine Moms named Debra peacefully protesting and bringing their teenage Antifa children with them. They’re not violent whatsoever and when Trump says that they are is just an excuse to prosecute free speech. But even if they were violent why would that be a bad thing? I’m not in-sighting violence but even if I was why would it be bad, if this was an insurrection against an unpopular president why would that be a bad thing?

Because peaceful civil demonstration historically is the most effective method for leftist policy.

say what you want about no kings but at least it got millions of americans mobilised. in a country as cucked as the US thats gotta count for something

It counts for nothing you midwit. Just like all the other large scale protests did nothing.

>>718338
>the most effective
>leftist policy
Delusional liberal.

>>718344
>we will do a hecking revolution, but also if you take any steps to organise and mobilise working people youre a liberal and we will not help you
is that your plan

>>718345
I know. That's what I told the dipshit that actually told me that.

>>718339
They're organized by Democratic Party-adjacent groups, their central message is that everything bad is because of Orange Man, they're not even directly affiliated with the (debatably effective) ongoing anti-ICE protests and are seemingly drowning them out in terms of media attention, some local ones have banned Palestine advocacy and some are explicitly pro-NATO, and most of all they simply don't have any concrete goals or demands.
There needs to be some limit to all this "hey it's better than nothing" kind of thinking.

Anyway, the answer to the violent vs nonviolent resistance question is already proven historically by the Civil Rights Movement and the Indian independence movement. Nonviolence works when backed up by 1) non-cooperation in critical sectors (strikes, boycotts) and 2) the threat of a separate movement of violence.

>2) the threat of a separate movement of violence.
Right. Exactly no one can peace and tolerance an oppressive state away. There has to be a physical "or else" otherwise aint shit happening.

Because it's an escalation and people are afraid of the consequences of doing so.

>>718339
they brought back the back to brunch signs unironically. we're cooked fam

>>718410
That's valid but acknowledging that the state will escalate anyways, already planned to escalate, and would literally concoct excuses and false flags just to escalate, is also valid
That's why it's hard to give a shit about Charlie Kirk and how making jokes would "provoke" the government, because they were absolutely already going to anyway

>>718382
Organized by them, yes
Literally means nothing when it comes to millions of unhappy people with fewer and fewer outlets but bigger and bigger grievances. It draws people from all stripes that aren't MAGA, which includes wine moms all the way to actual socialists and leftists with nowhere to go, and people who are also anti-ICE
I remember people soygaping to anything done by the fat racist conservative hogs and how they have real class consciousness, and that always blowing up in their faces.
yeah it's a mickey mouse protest but literally anything none MAGA will get you labeled as an antifa terror cell, and now they really want that to be enough to lock people up
