The time to move or attack again after finishers or special attacks in mkx is what made the game so much faster than mk1 or mk11. It’s so much easier to get away with playing as oppressively as possible in x just off the fact that your opponent likely won’t have the time to do shit about it compared to mk1 where most grabs and special attacks at least give you space or time to get your shit sorted out.

Mkx feels like getting your ass beat when you’ve already been flogged.

MK9 is superior to MKX in every way except the Crypt maybe, although I actually like MKX's art style, feels like the later PS2 MK games. MK11 and M1K are just so bland. And those mocap faces and combat animations…

I loved the injury system of mk9. Made the game feel brutal

Now imagine MKX but with some of MK9's features and none of the bs. That would've been so epic, that's what a sequel to a great game should have been. But it's like half of the entire studio was replaced or something. And then it's like it was replaced again because while MKX looked like an edgy game from 2005 MK11 looks like Injustice 2.
