Anyone playing this? What are your favorite paths? How well do you think it represents leftist politics or politics in general? I'm currently trying the socialism through reforms path (with a guide since I'm bad).

Played it when if came out (even made a thread about it here). From what I understand it received some extensive reworks since, does it finally have mechanics, i.e. no longer being a visual novel?

There are hidden stats and stat checks if that's what you are asking. It is still very much a narrative focused game though.

I like purging people, turning USP socialist, doing the math for viable non liberalizing "planned economy" runs. I've basically mastered the planned economy doctrine.

Dictator is best because of the power, and the central bank decree, which is very good for high budget deficit. But my favorite decree is the Rural education institutes. Because it based on this cool turkish village institutes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Village_Institutes

>How well do you think it represents leftist politics

Surprising nuanced.

The devs are neoliberal shills. Privatization gives government budget but nationalizing already-profitable oligarch property from say Tusk or Koronti takes away government budget even though you can arrest everyone with secret police and forcibly expropriate enterprises without compensation. It's dumb retarded dev decisions to make the game harder for socialist players while making it as easy as possible for capitalist runs.

They don't really sugar coat the effects of the decisions in a capitalist run, it may be easier to be a political leader if you don't give a shit about the living standards of the populace is all
