Do you lie about ur job experience in ur resume? Not like saying u know how to use python when u dont but like saying u worked somewhere u never did. Im on job search rn and atp im thinking about it but i heard they sometimes call companies to check if u really worked there

do it for a company that went bust so they cant check

The only lies on my resume currently are stretching the length and responsibilities of roles I did undertake, but generally I abide by the rule of thumb that jobs that are older and less related can be lied about with greater impunity. Use companies that have gone out of business to lie about completely.

It depends on the level to which you're applying to how well it will work, but generally the worst that can happen is that they don't hire you. Apply to as many places as possible so it doesn't really matter.

Dunno man, if you actually live in Germany I would expect the goons from your employer to actually call and confirm, lmao.

I was the regional manager at blockbuster

Always lie. Especially to the porkie.

my whole resume was fabricated at one point (including education and experience). I applied to small companies who have worse HR. I got hired as an engineer making like 80k and before I quit the HR guy said I was the best engineer they ever had (i swear to god no cap). i left because working full time is soulsucking and id rather ne poor.

I take liberty sometimes, like the amount of people I supervised and my role in some projects, but nothing unjustifiable or that is easily falsified.

with fully automated resume screening & filtering by experience/age at HR side it's becoming extremely hard to get an entry level job with 0-3(!) years experience whatsoever for actual money as pay, even for min wage
in my country there is a "community" that promotes & teaches about lying about your own experience on the resume and how to "prove" it without getting caught (IT field, too)
