because it's always gossiping and petty drama all the time.
My favorite workplace environment was a warehouse where 95% of the employees were dudes and the rest were butch lesbians who were actually pretty chill compared to their straight counterparts.
Naw the best type of job is where you don't have to interact much with others.
I'd rather work with women than with men tbh. I work at a small engineering firm, it's all straight men and no HR and shit. The dudes say the most absurd shit on the regular and it's tiring. They also expect you to be into the same shit: hustling, chasing pussy, soccer, shitty videogames and shittier movies. They don't disrespect me or anything but I can't bond with them
>>1843If you're attractive in some sense and not asexual it's the best if you don't care about the job due to potential relationship drama.
>>1847Just have sex with all your female co-workers, cause chaos and then leave. Or stay and have them fight for your affection.
>>1848i had a manager who did this but it backfired because one of them called the police for assault claim.
>>1849he was a dumbass because he was a manager, if you're just a grunt then it doesn't matter.
>>1845I know it’s hard to believe but women are kinda the same way, they just have softer voices and wording
>>1844This.
The best jobs are those with few coworkers per shift
>>1845>I'd rather work with women than with men tbhI take it you never worked morning shifts in fast food restaurants
>>1843OP, men are the same way
im a hetmoid and id rather work with all women because they at least try to keep things pleasant and light and are willing to listen to people as opposed to hetmoids who are programmed to all like the same boring bullshit and they all have the same boring attitude where you cant have fun unless you’re bullying someone. some dudes are okay though the smarter ones aren’t so bad, but they’re rare.
>>1868>and they all have the same boring attitude where you cant have fun unless you’re bullying someoneRealest shit ever and one of the most awful things in male socialization.
>>1868This sounds more like stereotypes. For personal experience, men are diverse in personalities
They’re not all jocular chauvinists
I’ve had more in depth conversations with men and they’re willing to exchange jokes without it being bullying
And not all women are polite smily empathy
>>1869Women ironically behave the same way but use differing wording
>>1868Have you ever worked with women in fast food restaurants during morning shift?
>>1868I’ve had women who say they rather work with men than with other women
Everyone is arguing about what men and women are really like because this is a work culture thing, not a gender thing.
>>1981True. However at the end of the day, work is better than school when it comes to socializing.
At least with work you can always change places when things get toxic.
School on the other hand? Bullying goes unaddressed for weeks on hand until someone dies
>>1985I mean bullying is wrong but how much people are actually dying from bullying in school? I think more people might from workplace bullying than from school bullying. I think workplace violence is higher that school violence not that either one is better than the other but still.
>>1986There’s been a lot of incidents of children being bullied to the point of death but it’s swept under the rug as “excessive horse playing”
Bullies used to beat up kids Witt baseball bats or metal rods, drown their victims with swirlies, or even rape them.
Bullying is often underreported and/or dismissed by adults as “kids being kids”
Or, if bullies go too far, the victim doesn’t die but rather gets a gun and shoots up the school
A lot of teen deaths are often written off as “accidental” to cover up suicide.
>>1986>>1988A lot of adults often have this mentality of bullying that its a “rite of passage”
Lots of boomers and Gen X ers especially even say that they’re proud of bullying because it “toughened them up”.
They think that removing kids from school due to bullying is “coddling them”
(Yet these same adults will go apeshit over teens having sex or romance.)
>>1844My favourite job (apart from my current one which I actually enjoy) was doing recieving at a steel mill. Trucks would come loaded with steel slabs for the rollers. Drivers gave me their paperwork, I scanned the barcode, clicked a couple things on a computer, and sent them along. I sat alone in a trailer for 12 hours each shift doing this. No coworkers, drivers barely said anything apart from some small talk (most of them were Indian and didn't speak much English anyways). Usually there would be no trucks for the first few hours of the shift too, so I would usually just read a book. Some days would be slow with only 1 or 2 trucks an hour. Even on busy days I could obviously scan the paperwork faster than the trucks could be unloaded, so I'd usually have to signal them to wait for 20-30 minutes once enough had gone through. On two separate occasions I overslept and showed up an hour late with no consequences since there was nobody else there. Literally the chillest job I ever had.
>>1845And you think you'd be able to bond with middle aged mombies with no personality?
Its just a little annoying when my mostly female co-workers ask about my love life since it's nonexistent. And, I wouldnt dare tell them about where I go and what I do in the wee hours of the night. But it's nice they actually try to set me up and bring up other girls etc they know in the area. Women I used to work with never used to try, so I must be doing something right if women at work are trying to set me up.
Dealing with a foreman who’s flexing his machismo bone sucks fucking dick
