I’ve heard that a fundamental problem is just that the entire platform is also just too big, Soviet tanks weren’t smol (relative to western MBTs at least) just because smaller target and more armour, but also just limitations on weight and size to fit on trains and cross bridges and stuff like that, which seemingly aren’t any more tolerant of size and weight than back in the USSR.

Ironically, I suspect the design of having the three tankers sat in a row in an armoured capsule at the front of the tank with a roof wide enough to accommodate three hatches, makes for a pretty catastrophic weak spot when encountering FPV drones. The capsule will no doubt be well armoured from the horizontal, but in the vertical, it will be thinly armoured in the way the top-front of the turret and upper glacis of the T-72/T-90 is less so.
