I'm autistic and it's hard enough just to earn a basic living and not lose my mind and end up homeless or in jail, I am not charismatic or articulate or persuasive, I don't like telling people what to do or how to think, I don't want to be a leader or a follower, and my mental state is not stable enough to engage in any kind of productive long-term endeavor. Do you think Lenin and Krupskaya sacrificed any potential to have a family and lead a simple, quiet life because they wanted to?! Hell, I want to raise my daughter in a world she can explore safely, a world that sees her as human and deserving of dignity. But we don't live in that world, and if I'm serious about revolution that means on some level sacrificing the stable life of a doting dad that I wish I could have, and it means teaching her from a young age that the world doesn't love her the way her parents do. So it kinda pisses me off when people wallow in self-pity about needing to talk to people and do the work to change the world around them. Pull your petty-bourgeois mindset out of your ass and catch up to the conditions you're living in! If you're barely keeping it together as-is, act like it! It's not self-pity or not wanting to talk to people, I enjoy talking to people. I just don't like to be an ideologue or an authority figure and I don't like to pretend like I have all the answers to the world's problems because I don't. I don't think I have the right to make decisions about how the world should be run or how other people should live their lives and I have very little patience for people who do.

Prices keep rising and our wages aren't. Now with the trade war shit happening there's the very real possibility that some or all of us could lose our jobs as the plant we rely on for work closes. That's on top of our apartment complex being sold half a dozen times in as many years, and going from one of the cheapest and poorest neighborhoods to among the most expensive.

We need higher wages. We need lower rent. We need job security. We need serious repairs and improvements made to our homes which the landlord refuses to make. Our employer isn't helping us. The landlord isn't helping us. The state isn't helping us. So we have to try and help ourselves.
